PHILIPPE ASHETON, Designer & Managing Director
Son of Baron Ludovic Asheton, Philippe inherited
his passion for furniture and pronounced taste in decoration. Third
in a family of 4 boys, he was attracted from an early age to the
notion of beautiful objects and learnt to shape materials into art
forms.
After having spent 18 years running a furniture
factory he returned to his creative roots. Working with his hands,
a love of raw material and the soul of a craftsman, he started
Ligne Metal in July 1991 with a forge and a passionate heart.
Philippe Asheton has watched his children grow
up along side Ligne Metal and looks on happily with the passing
years at the foundations of something made to last. Whilst continuing
with his hands on this approach he remains objectively ambitions
for his company.
